End of Semester Party
2019, web
which shows a empty world full of illusion.
Have you ever doubted the nature of your experiences? What if everything conscious is an illusion, not the truth? This work questions the nature of the world where you live, challenging your experiences. The world you live in may just be data output rendered in real-time from your viewpoint. This web project operates on the assumption that where you live is just empty, devoid of true substance.
Hidden with in a street map that replicates our familiar surroundings, you’ll discover various Easter Eggs—hidden surprises that defy the boundaries of our perceived reality. From a mole leaping out of a trash can to a person hanging from a sculpture, a transforming car, or a magical passage offering glimpses into the inside of a building from outside—these game-like graphics are glitches, anomalies that were never intended to be seen by our eyes. They serve as a reminder that where we live may not be the essence but an illusion of data output. The concealed game graphics symbolize fiction, blurring the line between reality and illusion, guiding you towards a world of truth.
Up until now, you have dwelled in an empty world of illusion. Can you find the button that unlocks the world of truth?
